James 1:2-3

"Consider it all joy, my brethern, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."

Need I say more?

Holding Hands

We had a small group for United in Prayer this morning. Bobby, John J., Beth and I met and prayed for our City, the schools, and the coming election. As we started to pray John asked if we could join hands ... so we formed a circle of prayer... united together in both body and soul. It was a blessing.

India Missions

I received a mission follow-up letter from an old pastor of mine...well, he is not old, he was just my pastor a long time ago. On second thought maybe he is old! (Sorry Craig!)

Craig has a calling for the people of India and just returned from a trip there where he was able to share the gospel with many and saw several each day come to faith in the Lord.

It brightened my day just to read about the wondrous things God is doing in his life and in the lives of the people he encountered.

As Criag says ... All For Jesus!

Slumber Party!

Last night I shared an amazing evening with 11 other women. Princess warriors ... in the army of the Lord! We woke at 6:30 this morning and went to the Lord in prayer. What an amazing way to start the new day. Just amazing.

Thought For The Day

Our faith should be our steering wheel, not our spare tire.

How Many Meals?

This has been one of those days where I have breakfast and lunch with the same group of people. There have been times when I've had all 3 meals in one day with DeSoto's finest!

Those of you that attended the meetings ... was the person sitting next to you a Christian? The woman sitting next to me at lunch is hunting for a church home. I would not have known that if I didn't ask.

What did you ask the person sitting next to you?

Food for thought ...

How do you express it in your own life?

Cambron Funeral

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Cambron family over the loss of their daughter. Please remember them in your prayers.

"Yet you do not know where you will be tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away."
James 4:14

Testimony from Best Southwest

About six months ago, Duane and I were in a restaurant for lunch, and we have made it our practice to ask our server if there's anything we can pray for them about. This particular server did not understand what we were asking and went and got the manager who tried to explain what we wanted to do. She understood that we wanted her to be at our table when we prayed. Anyway, by now, there was silence in the restaurant and all eyes were on our table. We prayed, using her name, and asked God to work in her life and in any situations that needed His help. Last Sunday, we were in the same restaurant and she came up to me and asked if I remembered her. She then said, in broken English, that she had had trouble with her husband and now everything was good. We were amazed that she remembered us and that she attributed this to the prayer of the person who prayed for her. God showed me that He can use us just as we go about living our lives.

To Him be the glory!
